Welcome to Girl Dad Nation. In this Dad Hacks episode, I share the secret of why I put two stickers in my daughter's lunchboxes.

Okay, so I'm really excited to share this Dad Hack. It kind of came to me because we had bought a roll of stickers to put in Easter eggs instead of candy a while ago. We just didn't want all this candy and all the Easter eggs when we did that with our kids. And our kids really love stickers. So it was like less mess, less sweets that we had to control.

And overall, just, like, a lot of fun. So we were we still had a lot of stickers. And I packed the kids lunches for my daughter who goes to preschool. I would take some of the stickers and put them in our lunches, and oftentimes I'd write a note or something as well. So I'd either do a note or if I didn't have time.

It's true. I don't always write it out, but if I don't have time to write a note, I try to at least put a sticker. And what I started doing was I put two stickers in our lunch and this beautiful story happened the other day where my daughter Caley came home from preschool and she said she made a new friend, Opal.

And she said, I gave Opal a sticker. And she was so excited to share that she got a sticker for herself. And she was surprised by that sticker. But then she was even more excited to share that she got to give that to one of her friends. So for all the parents out there packing your kids lunches, maybe try putting a sticker in the lunches.

Hopefully that's okay. And the kid's classroom, non-food allergies and stuff like that. So it should be fine. But yeah, it's a little way to share a little bit of joy in the middle of the day for your kids and really encourage them to. So when I started putting those stickers, it's great to tell your kids to hear I put two stickers.

You get a sticker and find a new friend to give a sticker to. And then maybe every day your child could find a new friend to share a little bit of joy with. So thanks so much.
