So here's a few things I wanted to share. First, this is not my day job. Yeah, believe it or not, I don't really get paid anything for this podcast. I just do it for the love. And yeah, I mostly do this from like 9 p.m. to midnight as a side hustle. So yep. That's why, unfortunately, I cannot make this a as big of a priority as some other needs.

But in exciting news, I did get a job promotion at my day job, so that's been great. It's been awesome to get that promotion, but that also means some added responsibilities at work and things I need to kind of adjust to there. But yeah, hoping to still keep the podcast going along with everything else. So that leads to work life balance.

And yeah, that's really important to me. By as much as I love doing this podcast, the main motivation for doing this podcast is to help me be a better dad and husband. So that means that even though there's episodes in the can that need to be edited, that mean sometimes prioritizing time with my kids, time with my wife, etc. Also, yeah, we have a unfinished basement that we've been hoping to convert into a an office that we that my wife could use when she works from home.

And also an office for me and slash podcast studio. So that was really exciting. And once we were about to get into that project, we noticed that our pipes in the basement were in desperate need of repair. Unfortunately, it was much worse than we thought originally, and so several, several thousands of dollars later, we had to completely redo all of the pipes underneath the foundation, digging into the concrete, replacing all of it before we could really feel comfortable laying floor and finishing the basement as we would like.

So that really set us back. Unfortunately. And that was just like a major thing that became super urgent as the pipes were starting to like back up. It was just gross, disgusting and needed to be done. But that's where a lot of time tension and unfortunately a lot of money went to. So yeah, but at least the major repair is done once we finish kind of paying off that project, I hope to get back to hopes of building a studio dedicating to this podcast, more so in that way.

But yeah, that was a big thing. But then also coming up, super exciting. This starts this week as podcast movement Denver. So this was something that was on my radar for at least a year and podcast movement is one of the biggest podcast conferences in the world. At least they advertise so and it's in Denver, which is yeah, my home state of Colorado, which I'm super excited about.

So normally traveling, airfare, lodging and being away from wife and kids is super difficult. One of the main reasons why travel is just super limited, but because this year it's basically in my backyard, I'm super excited to go. Had to work out logistics because it is not cheap.
